Who We Are
We're a Community Interest Company (CIC) with community and nature at our heart, passionate about building relationships; with each other and with the land. We're committed to journeys and practices that help us cultivate these, learning and unlearning, shedding the things we don't need and nourishing the things we do. Our workshops and experiences access the power of nature, creativity, community and heritage to help everyone find a place where they belong.
We run a regular programme of workshops, gatherings, experiences, tours, 1:1 mentoring and conservation, all held in the beautiful ancient woodland of Wrongs Covert, find out more below...
Meet the team
Director
Roxanne Matthews
Roxanne is a historian, storyteller and forest school leader. She leads and coordinates our activity programme and projects. As well as expertly guiding the ship at Treow, she facilitates our research and history tours. Roxanne is passionate about connecting people to the land and to each other.
Facilitator
Spencer Loades
Spencer is an experienced bushcraft facilitator and craftsperson. He offers guided experiences, workshops, and classes designed to help people reconnect with themselves and the land. Alongside this he supports the conservation and land management at Wrongs Covert.

Lydia Moore-Hall
Lydia is an experienced forest school leader and creative facilitator. She supports us with our programming and delivery for children and young people, as well as overseeing our health & safety and safeguarding. Lydia also looks after the woodland garden (and hens!) at Wrongs Covert.
Facilitor
Clare Goodman
Clare is our resident potter at Wrongs Covert. In 2016,she established Wayside Pottery Studio to become a full-time ceramic artist and pottery teacher. She is passionate about wildlife and the environment, her work often features animal and plant motifs. Clare offers workshops and is available for wellbeing days.
Marketing & Administration
Milly Kirby
Milly looks after our marketing and the administration of our programme. With a background in Festival Production, and providing admin and social media support to artists and arts organisations. Milly loves nature and the impact it can our wellbeing, as well as learning about the rich history of Wrongs Cover.
About Wrongs Covert
All of our current programme is held at Wrongs Covert, a beautiful ancient woodland site covering 25 acres along the River Wensum 12 miles NW of Norwich, between Lenwade and Lyng.
Home to an abundance of diverse fauna and flora, over the past centuries Wrongs Covert has escaped any form of invasive change, and has become a haven for many rare and endangered species of plants, birds and animals.
Meander down an old Saxon road and arrive at our fire circle, surrounded by hand-built wooden structures, cross the bridge and follow the Wensum wiggling to suit it’s name, breath the fresh air, far from an any road, surrounded by rich biodiversity and rare species, you might even catch site of the otters.
